About Me
My approach is collaborative and down to earth, being truly emotionally present with you and the work we are doing together, as well as facilitative and direct to help you identify specific patterns and dysregulation.
I see the whole person, mind, body, and spirit, and work non-judgmentally to help you gain further insight into any challenges you might face. I want our work together to be effective, and I believe that change is possible when one can truly accept oneself for who they are. I aim to create a safe environment in which you feel secure and able to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
I love nature and the outdoors, having grown up in the countryside and spent a lot of my childhood in the woods or on horseback. I believe the natural world is an integral part of our lives and a great support for our mental health and well-being. I am also a lover of water and passionate about swimming and saunas. I believe fluidity is an essential component in building resilience and embracing modern life.
I come from a creative background, first in fashion and then in the performing arts. It was my training as an actor that first led me to discover the Alexander Technique. This opened my mind to the wisdom of the minded body as I realised how much each of us holds in our system. I became fascinated by the mind-body connection and psychophysical unity. I trained as a Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellour and later a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner to further support my clients with a bottom-up, body-aware approach.
I work as a Group Therapist in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Secondary school where I run an Emotional Wellbeing Programme for teenagers and have a lot of experience working with neurodivergence. I have a particular interest in working with the nervous system and believe a lot of modern society, our schools and workplaces are dysregulating. I help people slow down and gain more present-moment awareness, finding a moment of quiet in a world full of noise.
